Dear parents,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your cooperation! We understand that these are difficult times but keeping your child(ren) engaged and learning is pivotal for their well-being. We truly appreciate your involvement and support! The Commissioner of Education, Richard Corcoran, said all public and private K-12 and career and technical center campuses are to be closed through April 15, 2020. “The containment of COVID-19 is essential, and this is not a decision we made lightly. Districts have taken action and have instituted distance learning as a necessary precaution to protect students, educators, families, and Florida’s overall public health.”
Following the mandate from the Department of Education, our campus will be closed through April 15, 2020 but our virtual classroom will continue to operate, and our administrative offices will be open virtually. Meanwhile, our teachers are hard at work preparing daily lessons and are available via Edmodo to answer your child’s questions. It is imperative that all students log-in on a daily basis to complete their assignments. Students will be assessed on participation through Edmodo prompts, online quizzes, completion of assigned programs (if applicable) and their work in the books, which will be checked upon our return. Edmodo codes can be found on this student portal under the COVID tab. Further instructions will be sent after spring break to add to our student’s work task. Please check Gradelink at the end of the week to monitor their academic progress.
In addition, all international students must continue their regular virtual course of study and follow instructions by Brito Miami Private School. It is imperative to notice, if any student decides to return home or travel, we cannot assure that they will be permitted to re-enter the US and consequently not be able to complete the school year which will cause their F-1 Visa to be terminated. If you should have any questions, please contact Mrs. Carrasco at k.carrasco@britomiamiprovate.com or the general email at panthers@britomiamiprivate.com
Please, follow all recommendations from the Center for disease Control and Prevention and stay safe. Our Panther Pride will not waver, and we will come out of this a stronger Panther Family.
